After years of tailoring pants on an assembly line and altering wedding gowns for bridal companies, Stephanie Mahr opened her own sewing studio in downtown New Glarus in April. She named it Centered Threads for the way she hopes to help clients accept themselves and understand that it's their clothes, not their bodies, that need tweaking. “When people come in, I want them to know: Just love yourself,” Mahr said. “You're gonna look fine, as long as you just let me do what I need to do.”
