Jed Spink, the chef and co-owner at Salvatore's Tomato Pies in Madison, will be food editor Lindsay Christians' guest for the November edition of Cooking with the Cap Times.

Editor's note: This story was updated on Nov. 16 with news about the new guest chef.

Join us for the November edition of Cooking with the Cap Times! On Thursday, Nov. 18, food editor Lindsay Christians will talk and prepare a dish with Jed Spink, chef and co-owner of Salvatore's Tomato Pies on North Livingston Street in Madison.

Spink was the chef at RED, the popular downtown sushi restaurant, for over three years and before that, chef de cuisine at Eno Vino. He brings a wide range of global influences to the appetizers, entrees and pizzas at Salvatore's.

Tami Lax of Harvest and The Old Fashioned was originally scheduled to appear for this event, but she is unable to join us.

Register for the free event on Zoom and you'll receive the recipe a week in advance. Registrants will also be subscribed to our weekly Madison Life email newsletter, but can unsubscribe at any time.

The demonstration will begin at 6 p.m. in the test kitchen at Kessenich’s (which is one of the event’s sponsors, along with Provision Market at Pasqual's Cantina and O'so Brewing Company).

Cooking with the Cap Times events are free to all. Virtual attendees are welcome (but never required!) to cook along, and encouraged to ask questions.

See you there!
