On Jan. 20, Mint Mark chef Sean Pharr of Madison will be the featured guest on Cooking with the Cap Times.

Join us for the first Cooking with the Cap Times of 2022! At 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, food editor Lindsay Christians will host Mint Mark chef and co-owner Sean Pharr as he makes the classic French dish coq au vin.

A Wisconsin native, Pharr opened Mint Mark in the former Mermaid Café space in 2018 with business partners Chad Vogel, Travis Knight and Gwen and Kyle Johnson. He was long-listed for a James Beard Award for Best Chef: Midwest in 2020.

Pharr’s cooking at Mint Mark is influenced by his Wisconsin upbringing, his interest in nose-to-tail butchery, classical techniques and seasonal produce.

Click here to register for the free event on Zoom. Once we have Pharr's coq au vin recipe, we will email that to registrants a week in advance of the show.

Registrants will also be subscribed to our weekly Madison Life email newsletter, but can unsubscribe at any time. Cap Times members can get access to attend in person. Become a member here.

The demonstration will begin at 6 p.m. in the test kitchen at Kessenich’s. Cooking with the Cap Times events are free to all. Virtual attendees are welcome (but never required!) to cook along and very encouraged to ask questions.

Thank you to our sponsors who help make this series possible: Provision Market at Pasqual's Cantina, Kessenich's and O'so Brewing Co.

See you there!
